What does calcium do in fertilizer?
Calcium fertilizers help regulate soil acidity and supply calcium for plant growth. Bluebird Carbonate Lime provides 98% CaCO₃, while Magnesium Lime also supplies magnesium and Black Chalk combines calcium with organic carbon and humic acids. The benefit depends on the soil test and crop needs.
What fertilizer is high in calcium?
Among the Bluebird products, Carbonate Lime has the highest listed calcium carbonate content at 98% CaCO₃. Magnesium Lime contains 60% CaCO₃ and Black Chalk 82%; the best choice still depends on whether the soil also needs magnesium or organic matter.
What are some examples of calcium fertilizers?
